The closing ceremony of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival was held on the evening of Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany, where the final winners of this prestigious cinematic event were announced. On a night when European cinema captured the spotlight with brilliant performances, the Golden Bear for Best Film was awarded to the critically acclaimed "Gelbe Briefe" (Yellow Letters), directed by İlker Çatak of Germany and Turkey.

Mansour Jahani - Official awards of the 76th Berlinale International Film Festival have been announced and “Yellow Letters” directed by İlker Çatak won the Golden Bear Award 2026. According to the report of Mansour Jahani, an independent and international cinema journalist, the closing ceremony of the 76th Berlinale International Film Festival was held at 18:00 on February 21, 2026, at the Berlinale Palast in the city of Berlin, Germany, and the winners of various competition, including; the Main Competition, Perspectives (GWFF Best First Feature Award), the Berlinale Documentary Award as well as the Berlinale Shorts prizes were introduced and the prestigious Golden Bear award for the best film and other awards of this film event were awarded to the winners.

The members of the 2026 International Jury, The members of the jury of the Main Competition of this prestigious and first-class world cinema event are: Director, writer and photographer Wim Wenders (Germany) President of the Jury, director and producer Min Bahadur Bham (Nepal), actor Bae Doona (South Korea), director, producer and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur (India), director, screenwriter and producer Reinaldo Marcus Green (USA), director, screenwriter and producer HIKARI (Japan) and producer Ewa Puszczyńska (Poland), award the following prizes:

Presided by Tricia Tuttle, the 76th Berlinale International Film Festival was held, 278 films from directors from 80 countries in consisting of Competition sections such as Main Competition, Perspectives Competition, Generations Competition, Panorama, Forum, Shorts, Documentary, and the non-competition category including Special Screening, and Classic Cinema Screening were held in Berlin, Germany, from February 12 to 22, 2026.
